the case for lower case

(in which 14 year old me would have a stroke if she could see me now)

there's something so freeing about the lower case.

quick outline:

  • my history with cases: i used to talk with every other word capitalized. don't know why - i just did. eventually i learned that wasn't proper and began to be better. then i did it away entirely.
  • bell hooks. the narrative of refusal. technology as control - as the settling of biases. my name and the red squiggly line.
  • language. because internet (book). the beauty of working with our constraints to Do More.
  • why do we have capitalizations, anyway?
